Our client, a market-leading provider of manufacturing solutions for complex, high-precision products in the Medical Device and Aerospace and Defence sectors, is seeking a talented Applications Engineer to join their dynamic team in Sheffield.Job Purpose:The Applications Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting new products and established processes throughout the full product lifecycle. From RFQ and DFM through to production prove-out and cost/rework reduction, this role requires flexibility and a commitment to delivering engineering objectives while ensuring operations are fully supported.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Project Management:Plan, lead, and execute multiple programmes while monitoring deliverables and reporting to management.Collaborate with internal functions such as Programme Management, Quality, and Production, and interface with customers as needed. Manufacturing Process Ownership:Ensure jobs run effectively according to production plans and that work instructions are fit for purpose.Proactively identify and investigate opportunities for improvement.
