Application Support SpecialistEllandUp to £46,000Your new roleAs an Application Specialist, you will be part of the Information Technology and Business Systems team, providing support for applications and business software. You will collaborate closely with project managers, IT teams, business systems teams, and digital teams, as well as departmental heads, to understand their needs and requirements. You will ensure the smooth delivery and operation of business systems and applications, offering technical support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users and internal staff.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the full software development life cycle, from analysis and design to testing and deployment.Configure, install, and maintain software applications on various platforms and devices alongside product owners.Monitor and optimise the performance across systems, availability, and security of the applications in line with our adjacent infrastructure team.Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for application-related issues, serving as the primary point of contact for users.Document and update the application specifications, manuals, SOP''s, and procedures.Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the application development and delivery process.Monitor and suggest software security protocols to protect sensitive business information.Analyse user needs and provide recommendations for new/improvements to enhance business processes.Work closely with the ..... full job details .....
