Our GRU team is a critical reconciliation system consisting of two applications (-20+ instances) that manage a large volume of reconciliations for over 20,000 Operations and Data Integrity users. The role involves supporting both the vendor platform SmartStream TLM and the in-house Reconciliation Tool – Recon Portal, while contributing to onboarding our next-generation reconciliation platform ONEREC and Strategic Reporting. Technologies commonly used include Hadoop, Unix, ORAAS, Hive, Python, Kafka, MQ, TIBCO, in a complex, high-impact environment.Our team interfaces with a wide client base and partners with Operations, Development and other technology counterparts to run the application production platform, provide quick resolutions and timely communications, and drive improvements to stability and efficiency practices.Job Description

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. It requires in-depth disciplinary knowledge and the ability to contribute to the development of new techniques and processes. It involves evaluating moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact, prioritizing information from multiple sources, and applying analytical skills. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. The role may involve coordinating and coaching team members and influencing decisions through advisory services within the area of specialization.Responsibilities

The Application Support Senior Analyst provides technical and business support for Citi Applications, delivering quick resolutions to issues and driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements.Maintain application systems that have completed development and are running in daily operations.Manage, maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations.Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover.Perform same-day risk reconciliations.Develop and maintain technical support documentation.Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used.Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner.Ensure storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly.Define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution.Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users.Prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements with development and production support teams.Participate in application releases from development through deployment and post-implementation analysis.Communicate effectively with users, traders, internal technology groups and vendors; raise problems to appropriate teams per SLAs.Provide coaching to new or junior analysts and act as SME to senior stakeholders as needed.Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment while maintaining compliance with firm policies and regulations.Contribute to Support Project items focusing on Stability, Efficiency and Effectiveness initiatives.Qualifications

Experience in an Application Support role.Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications.Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn.Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization.Effective written and verbal communications, including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.Demonstrated analytical skills; issue tracking and reporting using tools; knowledge of problem management tools.Good all-round technical skills and ability to share information across teams.Ability to plan and organize workload and communicate with stakeholders.Experience communicating appropriately to relevant stakeholders.Technical Skills
