Application Support Engineer

You will be owning and maintaining the applications within the IT estate. You will establish governance, assess applications and support decision making whilst reporting into the IT Operations Director.Client DetailsThis is a permanent opportunity within a significant public sector infrastructure programme, and is an excellent opportunity to have ownership over the applications within the IT estate of said programme.DescriptionManage the full life cycle of applications, from acquisition, to merging, to retirement.Work closely with the service management team.Ensure applications align with needs and industry standards.Collaborate with stakeholders to implement upgrades and resolve issues.Develop and maintain documentation for application processes and workflows.Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement.Work closely with vendors to manage contracts and service agreements.Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.Support the wider technology team in delivering strategic initiatives.Report directly to the IT Operations Director to support them within the project.ProfileA successful Application Lifecycle Manager should have:Strong knowledge of application life cycle management processes and a background in apps.Familiarity with technology systems and software implementation.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Understanding of data security and compliance ..... full job details .....
