Application and Platform Engineer

Trading applications - Ansible - Kubernetes - CI/CD - Grafana - SQLWe are seeking a hands-on Application Support Engineer (Level 2/3) to support mission-critical trading and data platforms. This role combines application support with SRE and platform engineering, focusing on automation, resilience, and high availability.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 support for critical applicationsTroubleshoot across application, infrastructure, and network layersSupport and optimise Kubernetes/OpenShift environmentsWork with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in incident, change, and problem managementMonitor systems using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and SplunkSupport deployments and ensure production stabilityTechnical EnvironmentKubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible Tower, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Python/Bash/PowerShell, Strong SQLRequirementsExperience in application support within financial or mission-critical environmentsStrong knowledge of SQL, infrastructure, and networkingHands-on experience with CI/CD, containerisation, and automationFamiliarity with .NET, Java, and microservices architecturesDesirableITIL certificationServiceNow experienceSRE/Agile methodologiesAdditional InfoShift-based role with on-call (07:00-15:00/10:00-19:00)Hybrid working - 3 days officeIf you''re looking to develop your career in SRE and platform engineering within a high-impact financial ..... full job details .....
