This is a specialist API engineering role, so candidates must have proven practical experience with Envoy rather than simply general API, Kubernetes or DevOps exposure. Key Responsibilities Design, configure and support Envoy Proxy/Envoy Gateway within a cloud-native banking environment. Configure and manage API routing, services, upstreams and gateway policies. Troubleshoot complex API routing, connectivity and Proxy issues. Implement API authentication and authorisation at gateway level. Support secure and highly available API gateway architectures. Work with engineering and platform teams on Kubernetes-based API infrastructure. Manage API gateway configuration through controlled, automated deployment processes.
