This provision takes a personalised and flexible approach, delivering education and support within home, school, and community settings, with referrals coming through Swindon Borough Council, Children s Services, and their AP / Alternative Provision network.The provision is looking to take on a dedicated AP Mentor on a long-term basis, starting ASAP, with a minimum of 15 hours per week. The successful AP Mentor will work with children who are unable to attend mainstream school settings, supporting learners with SEND through tailored academic and pastoral support to re-engage them in education and build confidence.The successful AP Mentor will have:• Experience working with children or young people with SEND• Experience working in an academic and/or pastoral capacity• Background in AP / Alternative Provision, tutoring, mentoring or similar roles• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills• Ability to deliver engaging, personalised support sessions• A patient, resilient and adaptable approachIn ..... full job details .....
