Ready to take the next step after completing your T Level in Animal Management?
 

We're offering an exciting opportunity for a T Level Specialist Intern to join our Animal Management team. This one-year paid internship is designed for students who have successfully completed their T Level and are looking to build the practical experience, confidence and industry skills needed to progress into employment within the animal care sector.
 

Working alongside our experienced technical team, you'll gain hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals, develop higher-level husbandry skills and take on increasing responsibility within a busy commercial learning environment. This role provides an excellent stepping stone into the industry while supporting the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for our students.
 

What you'll do:
  • Develop advanced practical skills in animal management, welfare and husbandry.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the Animal Management Centre.
  • Assist with the care and welfare of a wide range of animal species.
  • Work alongside technical staff to maintain high standards of animal welfare and facility management.
  • Support students during practical sessions and provide guidance where appropriate.
  • Assist with the safe supervision of small groups of learners when required.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, professional and welcoming learning environment.
  • Support College events, school visits and community engagement activities where required.
  • Build the practical experience and professional behaviours needed for a successful career within the animal management industry.

  • Successful completion of a T Level in Animal Management.
  • A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
  • Good practical animal handling and husbandry skills.
  • A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a busy team.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility.
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of animal welfare and health and safety.
  • A desire to progress into a career within the animal management sector.
