Android Developer   About the roleTesco''s Scan As You Shop service is an in-store experience that lets customers build their basket on a handhelddevice during their shopping journey so that they can keep a close eye on their budget and skip the queues atcheckout. Since late 2021, we''ve brought the soluti on enti rely in house, and we''re now live in over 800 storesacross the UK and the Republic of Ireland, with plans to move into Central Europe this year. The engineering team owns the handset applicati on, which is built on Android OS and consumes data from ourRetail Platf orm enterprise APIs, as well as a few diff erent technology components that support the soluti on.
