Ambitious Senior Herdsperson

Our team seeks a livestock enthusiast to join them on this progressive dairy unit in a great location not far from the Eastbourne coast. This role focuses on the herd of currently 500 high yielding Holstein/Friesian cows. Milking currently through a 20:40 DTL parlour, with ADF, Heat Time, Auto Shedding and comprehensive handling facilities. Calving in an autumn/winter block, the cows are housed in recently constructed first class conditions throughout and have yields in excess of 10,000 litres per cow. This position can develop as the unit develops. A 60-point rotary parlour is currently under construction with full supporting facilities and expansion into the sand bed cubicle housing as the unit grows to a 700-cow unit.
