Aluminium Production Manager

We are recruiting for a forward thinking Production Manager to organise and oversee the manufacture of aluminium window and door products based in Derby

The successful person will be responsible for the smooth running of the production department, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment that delivers high quality products on-time to their customers. This is a high profile role within the company and the successful person will report directly into the Directors.

You will be tasked with planning and organising a skilled and experienced work-force and organising materials and production schedules. You will oversee and plan all aspects from purchasing and goods inwards through to manufacturing, quality control and dispatch, problem solving any issues that may arise in the course of manufacturing operations.

The successful person will have a manufacturing background, ideally within the aluminium glazing industry and have managerial or supervisory experience. They will need to be able to lead from the front but balance that with being an excellent team player, able to coach and motivate an existing workforce of 15 fabricators to ensure company targets are met. Experience of Lean manufacturing or 5s would also be advantageous.
