ALN Teaching Assistant

We here at Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and experienced ALN Teaching Assistant to work closely with students with sensory needs in one of our client educational setting provisions based in the heart of Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with sensory needs and will possess the skills necessary to support them in their individual learning journeys. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support and assist students with sensory needs throughout their educational activities, both in and outside the classroom.- Adapt teaching materials and learning environments to meet the specific needs of each student, taking into consideration their sensory sensitivities.- Help develop and implement individualized plans for students, in collaboration with the classroom teacher and other relevant professionals.- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging the participation of students with sensory needs.- Assist with personal care tasks, such as aiding in toileting, feeding, or transitioning between activities, as required.- Monitor and record students'' progress, achievements, and challenges, providing regular feedback to the classroom teacher to inform future planning.- Support the use of assistive technology and sensory ..... full job details .....
