Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Supply Desk are currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school committed to providing inclusive education and tailored support for every student. With a focus on communication, emotional regulation, and scaffolding learning, we aim to support each pupilandrsquo;s unique needs, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating a positive and supportive environment for students with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with a range of SEND, including ASD, SEMH, and MLD.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities, supporting the class teacher and SENCO.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters independence and confidence in students.
- Support the development, implementation, and regular review of IEPs in collaboration with the wider staff team and external professionals.
- Implement strategies that promote communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, their families, and colleagues to provide holistic support.
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
- Strong skills in communication, organisation, and teamwork.
- Enhanced DBS (we can assist with this if not already in receipt)
- Registration with Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Confidence in supporting personal care and sensory needs when required.
- A commitment to safeguarding, professional development, and working collaboratively to support the best outcomes for students.
