Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Alliance Freedom of Information Officer to work within the Devon and Cornwall Police Force Please note this role will subject to Police Vetting, you will need to have been residing within the UK continually for a minimum of 5 years Our client, a prominent organisation in the public services sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freedom of Information Officer to join their team in Exeter based at Middlemoor Police Station. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about transparency and information governance to contribute meaningfully to public service.Role Overview:As a Freedom of Information Officer, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 and the Environment Information Regulations (EIR) 2004. This temporary full-time 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, this position offers a competitive hourly rate of 14.10 per hour, with an end date of May 2027.Key Responsibilities:Process FOIA and EIR requests, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and organisational policy.Access various Force systems and information sources to facilitate informed decision-making regarding information disclosure.Evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis and determine whether to supply the requested information, considering legal constraints.Draught clear and concise correspondence that communicates decisions and ..... full job details .....
