Air Freight Coordinator - Central London - Up to -35,000

An established freight forwarding provider is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join its London-based team. With a strong reputation for customer service, the company is looking for someone who can ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective shipment handling from booking through to final delivery.

Job type: Permanent

Standard working hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

• Salary: Up to -35,000

• Hybrid working model - 2 days from home, 3 from office

• Manage day-to-day air freight export operations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, overseas agents, and airline partners

• Coordinate collection and delivery arrangements, ensuring timely and compliant shipment movement

• Provide accurate and competitive quotations to customers and global partners

• Prepare and verify all relevant shipping and customs documentation

• Liaise with customs brokers to facilitate clearance processes for both imports and exports

• Monitor ongoing shipments and proactively resolve any service disruptions or delays

• Maintain accurate operational records using Cargowise (training provided if needed)

• Minimum 4 years'' experience in freight forwarding/logistics operations within the UK

• Solid understanding of air freight procedures, including airline routings and UK suppliers

• Knowledge of UK customs clearance processes for both exports and imports

• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly

• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work well under pressure

• Experience working with Cargowise (or similar TMS)
