Aircraft Technician/Aircraft Fitter

We are currently recruiting Skilled Aircraft Fitters for a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Filton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established production team working on the assembly of both commercial and military aircraft. You will be supporting the Build Production section, responsible for high-precision fitting tasks on large aircraft assemblies.Location: Filton, UKContract Type: Full-time, Ongoing - onsite Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am - 3:45pm12-month contract Key Responsibilities:Interpret and work from detailed engineering instructions and technical drawingsComplete assembly and fitting tasks to the required quality and production standardsUse various hand and power tools for drilling, sealing, shimming, and other fitting operationsPerform high-precision work with a strong focus on quality and safetyObtain 1st party certification following successful completion of internal trainingWork in confined spaces (including inside wings) and at heights as requiredAssemble components for military aircraft, including the A400MEssential Requirements:Proven experience using hand and power tools in a fitter or assembly operator roleComfortable working at height and within confined spacesMust pass a pre-employment medical and obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearanceCompleted a recognised apprenticeship within an engineering discipline (eg, sheet metal work, aircraft or maintenance technician, toolmaker, fitter/turner)Hold NVQ ..... full job details .....
