Air Import OperatorA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding company based in the Staines area.You will join a busy import operations team, managing general freight shipments and ensuring all import documentation, customs requirements and customer expectations are handled accurately and efficiently.Duties and Responsibilities of an Air Import OperatorCoordinate Air Import shipments from arrival through to final delivery.Complete and process customs import entries accurately and in line with company procedures.Handle Dangerous Goods shipments in accordance with IATA regulations.Liaise with airlines, handling agents, customers, overseas offices and transport providers.Prepare and check import documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, customs paperwork and arrival documentation.Monitor shipments and provide customers with regular updates throughout the import process.Resolve operational issues and delays quickly and effectively.Ensure files are completed, costed and invoiced accurately within agreed timescales.The Successful Air Import OperatorPrevious experience within Air Import Freight Forwarding is essential.Strong understanding of customs import entries and clearance procedures.Experience handling Dangerous Goods would be advantageous but is not essential.Good knowledge of Air Import documentation, including MAWBs and HAWBs.Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.Ability ..... full job details .....
