Air Freight Operator - Imports and ExportsLocation: Feltham / London HeathrowSalary: Up to 38,000 + 10% Shift AllowanceHours: 4 On, 4 Off Days 7:00am - 7:00pmJob Type: PermanentThe OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Air Freight Operator to join a leading international freight forwarding and logistics organisation at London Heathrow.Working within a busy and established Heathrow operation, you will manage a combination of air import and export shipments, taking ownership of freight movements from initial booking through to final delivery.This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys the variety of handling both imports and exports and wants to join a stable, progressive global business with a strong presence within international freight forwarding.The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Managing air import and export shipments from start to finishArranging bookings with airlines and overseas officesPreparing and checking Air Waybills and shipping documentationCompleting import and export customs entriesCoordinating collections and final deliveriesTracking shipments and providing customers with regular updatesLiaising with airlines, handling agents, overseas offices and transport providersResolving operational issues and ensuring shipments move within agreed timescalesMaintaining accurate shipment files and completing invoicingProviding a consistently high level of customer serviceRequirementsWe are looking for someone ..... full job details .....
