Job Title: Air Conditioning Estimator
Location: East Anglia (covering local works only)
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Travel : 70% office based 30% on the road
Hours : Monday – Friday 40 hours
Vehicle: Company van + fuel card

Company Overview:
We are a respected and growing HVAC contractor based in East Anglia, delivering high-quality air conditioning installation and maintenance services across the commercial sector. With a strong pipeline of local work, we are looking to expand our commercial team with a dedicated Air Conditioning Estimator to help deliver accurate and competitive tenders.
Role Overview:
The Air Conditioning Estimator will play a key role in supporting the sales and projects team by preparing costings and quotations for domestic & commercial air conditioning projects. This role is primarily office-based (around 70%), with occasional site visits for surveys or client meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents for commercial and domestic air conditioning projects (split, multi-split, VRF/VRV systems)
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate material/labour costings
- Carry out site surveys (where required) to assess project requirements
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the director to ensure handover accuracy
- Maintain and update estimating software and pricing databases
- Attend client or design meetings when required
- Assist with design calculations and basic system layouts (desirable)
- Experience estimating air conditioning or HVAC projects (essential)
- Good technical understanding of domestic and commercial air conditioning systems
- Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
- Strong IT skills – Excel and estimating software experience preferred
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Full UK driving licence (for occasional site visits)
- F-Gas or HVAC qualifications (not essential but beneficial)
- Previous experience as an air conditioning engineer before moving into estimating
- Familiarity with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, etc.
- Local business with strong reputation and a full pipeline of East Anglia-based work
