AI Delivery Lead

About The RoleAI Delivery Leads are expected to work in small teams of Tomoro and client engineers to design, build, and deploy AI applications. Our delivery teams solve complex and technical design challenges, ensuring smooth transitions from development to deployment, and act as a vital link between technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role involves leading project delivery, mentoring colleagues, and staying updated with AI advancements. Delivery leads are critical in ensuring our AI solutions are reliable, ethically compliant, and rigorously tested.

Responsibilities

Lead project delivery and mentor colleagues within the team.

Ensure AI solutions are reliable, ethically compliant, and rigorously tested.

Act as the primary translator between engineers and non-technical stakeholders and connect delivery activities to client needs.

Business Application Design: Co-creating cutting-edge applied AI business solutions with clients and colleagues to realise meaningful value with a feasible route to reality.

Solution Design: Supporting and prototyping AI solutions and building engineering teams who can realise designs at scale.

Delivery Problem-Solving: Solving complex delivery problems that arise during the development and scaling of AI solutions; translating between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Delivery Leadership: Providing delivery guidance and leadership within the team, including mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to skill development.

Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Staying updated with the latest developments in AI, ML, and related technologies.

Ethical Consideration and Compliance: Upholding ethical standards in AI development, including data privacy, bias minimization, and regulatory compliance.

Senior Client Relationships: Building robust relationships with senior business and technical clients and challenging clients to become AI leaders in their field.

Delivery Stewardship across a Portfolio of Projects: Working across multiple accounts or projects, leading teams effectively.

Indicators you''ll be a good fit

Background in product and delivery management

4+ years of experience delivering software solutions for enterprise

Experience leading teams to design and develop production-grade enterprise solutions, including:

Python application development

Building microservices

Data technologies

Large language models

Strategic thinker and team leader with hands-on engineering experience and ownership of outcomes from inception to completion

Ability to set high standards of technical excellence and guide teams in better coding practices

AI translator capable of explaining concepts to senior business leaders and diverse audiences

Coach, mentor and educator committed to engineer development and knowledge sharing

Engineering-first mindset — enable engineers to deliver high-quality code

Innovator and thought leader who stays current with AI developments and applies them to real-world problems
