Agricultural and Farming Senior Accountant

Accounts Senior Agriculture and FarmingMy client is looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. Applicants must have direct experience of farm accounts and agricultural taxation, or a farming background.The RolePreparing year-end accounts for farming businesses, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.Preparing and maintaining accurate working papers and client records.Processing bookkeeping and completing bank, VAT and control account reconciliations.Preparing and submitting VAT returns.Supporting clients with accounting queries, digital record keeping and compliance requirements.Advising on agricultural accounting and taxation matters.Mentoring junior team members and helping manage workflow and deadlines.About YouAAT qualified as a minimum, ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.Essential: Direct experience of farm accounts and agricultural taxation, or a farming background.Experience preparing accounts for small and medium-sized businesses.A strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation.Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar.Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, VAT and corporation tax compliance would be beneficial.What We OfferA varied role working with agricultural businesses.Opportunities to develop your technical and specialist ..... full job details .....
