AGGP2026 - Flight Physics Icing Software Graduate

Overview

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Flight Physics Icing Software Graduate and can expect to be involved in varied assignments across Flight Physics UK, including Capabilities and software development activities. The Capabilities team develops world-class software to support diverse design work and offers guidance on new technologies such as machine learning, data analysis and cloud computing. Placements will be varied and will require you to use technical, project management and communication skills to complete them successfully. By the end of the programme you should be ready to progress, having demonstrated your value and developed skills in an area strategically important for Airbus.You would receive training with a broad variety of placements, mentored and supported by an experienced team. The programme includes a minimum of one rotational placement over two years, culminating in the position of Flight Physics Icing Software Engineer.What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of studyRecently graduated or first professional experience in Physics, Maths, Engineering or a similar technical subject with a strong focus on software development (2:1 or higher); strong verbal and written communication in EnglishA desire to work in a collaborative team environment focused on driving future innovationThe ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your developmentSpecific experience/interest in software development; preferably including Python and/or C++ (or other object-oriented languages such as Java or C#); use of Git; familiarity with Linux and/or cloud computingKnowledge of CFD and/or icing, or numerical modelling would be beneficialAwareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growthAre you a university graduate with the aspiration, enthusiasm and talent to help us pioneer sustainable aerospace for a safe and united world?
