Job Title: Chef - Agency Cover (Hospice) Location: Darlington Rate: 12.56 per hour Contract Type: Temporary / Agency CoverPLEASE NOTE THIS IS TO COVER SHIFTS ON FRIDAY 12,SATURDAY 13TH AND SUNDAY 14TH AUGUST.You must have a DBS check in place, with clearance against the Adults Barred ListJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Chef to provide agency cover at a local hospice. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals to patients, visitors, and staff in a sensitive and respectful environment.Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of balanced meals tailored to the dietary requirements of hospice guestsEnsure meals are delivered on time and in line with individual needs and preferencesMaintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness at all timesWork collaboratively with hospice staff to ensure a smooth and respectful dining serviceManage stock levels and maintain records as requiredFollow all relevant policies, including food safety, infection control, and safeguardingEssential Requirements:Proven experience as a Chef in a health care, hospice, or similar environmentUp-to-date Food Hygiene and Safety certificationsExcellent understanding of dietary requirements, allergens, and nutritionDBS check in place, with clearance against the Adults Barred ListAbility to work independently and sensitively within a care environmentReliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing ..... full job details .....
