AEM - Winding Technician - Luton
As a Winding Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, overhaul and testing of aircraft electrical components used within aviation power generation systems.Key ResponsibilitiesWind stators, rotors, field coils and armatures using specialist winding techniques.Work with enamel-coated copper wire and specialist hand tools.Carry out cleaning and preparation processes using ultrasonic cleaning equipment.Complete brazing, resistance welding and flame welding connections.Perform electrical testing using resistance and high-voltage testing equipment.Conduct dimensional inspections using micrometers, verniers, height gauges and other precision measuring instruments.Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.Complete all work in line with quality, safety and aerospace regulatory standards.Maintain accurate production and inspection records.What We''re Looking ForEssentialExperience within a manufacturing, production, assembly or engineering environment.Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.Ability to follow technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.DesirablePrevious experience as a Winder, Coil Winder or Motor Rewinder.Electrical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.Aerospace, aviation, defence or regulated manufacturing experience.Experience of soldering, brazing or welding ..... full job details .....
