Derbyshire County Council Advanced Social Worker Child Protection Team Pay Rate: £35 per hour Hours: 37.5 per week Contract: Locum About the Role Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join its Child Protection Team. You will work with children and families where safeguarding concerns have been identified, undertaking complex assessments and interventions to ensure children are protected and supported effectively. As an Advanced Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting high standards of practice, managing complex cases, and providing guidance to colleagues where required. Key Responsibilities Undertake Section 47 enquiries and Child and Family Assessments. Manage a complex caseload of Child Protection and Child in Need cases. Develop and implement robust safety and care plans. Provide support and guidance to less experienced social workers. Work collaboratively with partner agencies including health, education, and police. Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
