About the Role Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker (Advanced Practitioner level) to join its Safeguarding and Support Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and restorative local authority, managing complex safeguarding cases while making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. The Safeguarding and Support Team works with: Children in Need Child Protection Court proceedings Adoption work As a restorative local authority, we are committed to working in partnership with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage and respond to allocated safeguarding work in line with legislation, policies, and procedures. Undertake assessments in accordance with the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families. Develop and implement family-led restorative plans based on assessed needs. Work collaboratively with children, young people, families, and partner agencies. Promote participation and partnership working with children and their families. Complete regular reviews of plans, recording outcomes and updating interventions accordingly. Maintain accurate and timely electronic and manual case records.
