Overview

The Barts Heart Centre at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital is looking for a qualified ACP with an interest in cardiology (Band 8A), or alternatively, a Band 7 nurse with significant cardiology experience, to join the team of cardiology ACPs and trainee ACPs. You will be well supported by the team of ACPs (qualified and trainee ACPs), as well as the wider medical team. The ACP role will be pivotal in reviewing current policy to support decision making and provide clear visible leadership for the workforce promoting a culture of safety.Responsibilities

Clerking new admissions and reviewing patients post-procedure.Involvement in ward rounds and organising scans as appropriate.Reviewing patients in post-MI clinics and triaging new referrals.Leading and supporting education, training, and development of the multidisciplinary team.Contributing to research and audit projects and supporting implementation of best practice.Establishing and overseeing efficient clinical and business systems to support the directorate and deliver a professional clinical service.Requirements / Qualifications

Qualified nurse or allied health professional with a background in cardiology, either at ACP level or ready to develop to it.Passion for delivering exemplary patient care and pushing the boundaries of traditional roles.Ability to work as part of a dynamic ACP team and collaborate with the wider medical team.Strong customer service attitude and collaborative approach.About the Trust and Values
