We are a busy Duty and fast paced social work team carrying out statutory work with adults with learning disabilities across the city of Leeds. We need an experienced worker to join us and work under the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act, to help us to fulfil our responsibilities to screen referrals, deal with urgent work including Safeguarding referrals and to signpost to other teams. Short term work will include completing assessments and reviews, to commission services, to enquire into safeguarding concerns, and to manage risk. We seek to enable people with learning disabilities to have a good quality of life as they see that to be, to have their rights upheld, and to achieve the outcomes they aspire to.
