Adult Social Worker

We are currently recruiting Adult Social Workers to work with Newcastle City Council on a temporary agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy local authority team and make a genuine difference to the lives of adults and their families.

The Role:

• Carrying out assessments under the Care Act 2014
• Developing, implementing and reviewing care and support plans
• Managing a varied caseload of adults with complex needs
• Working collaboratively with individuals, families and partner agencies
• Promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes
• Completing reviews, safeguarding enquiries and relevant social work documentation
• Working within local authority policies, procedures and statutory frameworks

About You:

• Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration
• Previous experience within Adult Social Care
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding procedures
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work autonomously
• Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills
• Previous local authority experience is desirable
