This role involves a mixed caseload of adult social care work, including Court of Protection, mental health, and financial matters.Day-to-day of the role:Provide advice, guidance, and representation to the relevant client department on all Adult Care Law matters and related issues.Responsible for the provision of legal services in areas including Adult Care and related matters.Undertake a personal caseload of Adult Care Law matters from inception through to conclusion, including taking the client''s instructions, advising the client throughout the case, advocacy, and reporting fully to the client on the outcome.Represent the Council in court at inquiries, inquests, and tribunals, including full preparation and the provision of advocacy in all relevant courts.Assess and advise on evidential matters and seek to prevent matters from going to court where litigation would not be in the Council''s best interests.Attend meetings of the Council''s Boards ...</description>
