Adult Social Care Solicitor needed Paying £45 per hr ref 000B 55BB / 1 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Provide specialist legal advice on adult social care matters, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, safeguarding, human rights, and community care law. Manage a varied caseload of complex and sensitive adult social care matters from initial instruction through to conclusion. Represent clients and organisations in the Court of Protection, High Court, tribunals, and other legal proceedings where required. Advise on mental capacity assessments, best interests decisions, deprivation of liberty matters, and safeguarding investigations. Draft and review court applications, pleadings, witness statements, legal agreements, policies, and other legal documentation. Provide pragmatic and risk-based legal advice to operational teams, senior stakeholders, and decision-makers. Conduct legal research and remain up to date with legislative changes, case law, and regulatory developments affecting adult social care. Manage litigation, including instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and external legal representatives. Support safeguarding processes and provide legal guidance on complex cases involving vulnerable adults. Attend case conferences, strategy meetings, hearings, and stakeholder meetings as required.
