Adult Social Care Brokerage Officer

Contract: Interim / Temporary
 

We are recruiting an experienced Adult Social Care Brokerage Officer.

The role will involve sourcing, negotiating and arranging care packages and residential/nursing placements that meet assessed needs, individual preferences, budget and quality requirements.

• Broker personalised care packages and placements for adults.
• Source residential, nursing and community-based care.
• Negotiate with providers to secure suitable and cost-effective packages.
• Liaise with Social Workers, individuals, families and care providers.
• Support timely hospital discharges, including weekends where required.
• Maintain strong provider relationships and monitor availability.
• Ensure packages are arranged within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Maintain accurate records using Mosaic and other IT systems.
• Apply safeguarding principles and escalate concerns appropriately.

• Previous experience in Adult Social Care Brokerage, Commissioning, Placements or Purchasing.
• Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding and CQC.
• Strong negotiation, financial and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills, including Excel and ideally Mosaic.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently.
