Job Title: Adult Skills Tutor Location: Brighton Salary: 27,000 per annum Contract Type: Fixed-term to 31st July 2026 (37.5 hours per week) Annual Leave: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (pro-rata) Role Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Adult Skills Tutor to deliver a range of short, accredited training courses for adult learners in Brighton and Hove. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with experience in adult learning, looking to support individuals into further education, training or employment. You will be delivering classroom-based courses ranging from 1 to 12 days in duration across a diverse curriculum that may include: Support Work in Schools and Colleges Health and Safety with CSCS Card Understanding Autism Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties Customer Service Safeguarding and Prevent Food Safety All teaching will be delivered face-to-face from our Brighton centre. Key Responsibilities: Deliver classroom-based accredited training across a range of adult education courses. Support learners through the full learning journey, from enrolment to progression. Conduct effective initial assessments and develop tailored learner action plans. Maintain and update individual learning plans and progress reviews. Provide continuous advice, guidance and pastoral support. Ensure high standards of teaching and learning are consistently maintained. Assess and mark learner work accurately and timely.
