Job Responsibilities
- Operate Class 2 vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver gas cylinders to various customer locations within the designated area.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and securing of gas cylinders.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading cylinders, ensuring correct handling procedures are followed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
Required Skills andamp; Qualifications
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivering gas cylinders or similar hazardous goods is highly desirable.
- Relevant CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy cylinders safely.
- Proactive attitude with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
