As an Admiral Nurse, you will provide specialist dementia care and support to families, working closely with carers as they navigate the emotional, practical, and psychological impact of dementia. Your role will focus on improving the quality of life for both people living with dementia and those who care for them. From pre-diagnosis and early stages through to more complex and advanced care needs, you will offer expert guidance, helping carers understand the condition, respond to changing behaviours, and manage the challenges that dementia brings.You will play a key role in supporting carers through significant transitions-adjusting to diagnosis, coping with loss, and adapting to changing relationships-ensuring they feel supported, informed, and able to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
