About the Role
The Administrator position based in East Looe, offered through Pertemps Plymouth, is a part-time, 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, paying £14 per hour. Working 21 hours weekly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, you will serve as the initial contact for visitors, customers, and contractors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and personable individual to take on a varied role, combining front-of-house reception duties with essential administrative support. As the first point of contact for visitors, customers and contractors, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, customers and contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handle incoming calls, emails and general enquiries efficiently.
- Provide information on services, facilities and processes as required.
- Maintain a positive and helpful customer experience at all times.
- Maintain accurate digital and paper-based records and filing systems.
- Process applications, documentation, invoices and payments.
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence and general office administration.
- Support the wider team with data entry, reporting and administrative tasks.
- Ensure records are kept up to date and managed in line with company procedures.
- Previous administration and/or reception experience is essential.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Experience within a maritime, marine or harbour environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
