Meaningful work—with flexibility built in.

Looking for a role where your organisation skills genuinely help people - and where your working hours aren’t completely rigid?

At London Cremation Company, we’re proud to support families with care, compassion and professionalism. We’re now hiring an Administrator / Memorials Advisor at our St Marylebone site - offering a rare combination of structured, purposeful work and flexibility for the right person.

The Administrator / Memorials Advisor role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring every service runs smoothly - supporting families, managing administration, and helping create meaningful memorials.

This is a front-facing, highly trusted position, where attention to detail and empathy go hand in hand.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a first point of contact for families, visitors and professional partners
  • Prepare and manage cremation documentation with precision and care
  • Maintain statutory registers and ensure full compliance
  • Co-ordinate the daily cremation diary and appointments
  • Support families with memorial enquiries and arrangements
  • Organise and conduct memorial meetings
  • Liaise with Funeral Directors, officiants and suppliers
  • Handle queries and resolve concerns calmly and professionally
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Monitor memorial renewals and communicate with families

You may also support chapel services and interments - ensuring each service is delivered with dignity and respect.

What makes this opportunity stand out

  • Flexibility on working hours (while maintaining a 5-day week)
  • A role with real purpose - supporting families at important moments
  • A professional, supportive team environment
  • Variety in your day - no two situations are the same

What you’ll bring

  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal ability
  • A calm, compassionate approach when dealing with sensitive situations
  • Confidence working in a busy, structured environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A proactive, team-focused mindset
  • Previous experience in a bereavement or memorial setting is helpful, but not essential.

What you’ll get in return

  • 26 days holiday + public holidays
  • Occupational sick pay
  • Life assurance & income protection insurance
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme (confidential support when you need it)
  • Digital health & wellbeing tools
  • Retail discounts & financial wellbeing support
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Uniform & PPE provided
  • Free and discounted cremation benefits for family
