Job Title: Administrator (Banking/ Finance)

Location: Carlisle

Hours: 37.5 hours a week | Monday- Friday | Standard office hours

Salary: £25,000.00 per annum

Benefits: 30 days Holiday | 20% Company Discount | Pension

Our client are looking for an administrator to join their finance/ banking team. This position ensures that payments are made in a timely manner and processed efficiently.

Job responsibilities

  • Processing bank payments on the Online banking system ensuring payment deadlines are achieved and all payments made accurately and on time
  • Download bank statements from the bank and import into the finance system
  • Posting bank transactions, manual payments, direct debits and receipts to the finance system
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Deal timeously and courteously with any external or internal queries ensuring that query is satisfactorily resolved.
  • Preparation and posting of exchange rate adjustments
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts on the finance system
  • Input and maintenance of coach drivers system

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience within a financial administration role would be beneficial.
  • Numerate and analytical
  • Motivated and willing to learn
  • Organised with a good eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • A good team player
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheets/ payment systems
