Durham County Council is seeking a Fleet Hire Desk Assistant/ administrator to support our Fleet Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills to join a busy, public-facing service.
Role Overview
You will be working closely with the Fleet Hire Desk Supervisor and Fleet Business Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day hire operations. This includes managing hire contracts, supporting customers, and ensuring compliance is maintained at all times. Full training will be provided on the specialist systems used by Fleet Services.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Fleet Hire Desk

Support with hire contracts and ensure compliance with council processes

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Use systems and spreadsheets (Excel) to complete administrative tasks

Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
