Description
- Maintain a professional and welcoming service, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain reports, statistics, and records using a range of administrative systems and databases.
- Provide guidance on student administration processes, including programme registration, module selection, and changes to study options.
- Coordinate student record updates and programme changes, liaising with academic and professional services colleagues as required.
- Support the allocation and administration of student support and advisory arrangements.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ensure administrative processes are delivered effectively, meeting agreed service standards and deadlines.
- Identify and escalate any issues relating to compliance, policy, or procedural requirements.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to senior staff and committees as required.
- Assist with the organisation and administration of events, seminars, lectures, and other academic activities.
- Maintain accurate databases, contact lists, and departmental records.
- Support colleagues across wider teams during periods of absence or increased workload, contributing to the smooth running of operations.
- Undertake additional administrative duties as required to support departmental objectives.
Profile
A successful Administrative Assistant should have:
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all administrative tasks.
- Previous experience in a secretarial or administrative role within a professional setting.
- Ability to commute to Liverpool.
