We are currently seeking an interim Administration Assistant, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at our client''s scientific Research andamp; Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a Part-time temporary role to run until end September 2025, requiring 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £13.30 per hour, depending upon experience.

Job Purpose
The Operational Excellence Team provides a range of support services to the Port Sunlight Randamp;D scientific and engineering community. The activities focus on the delivery and continued support of optimised processes and workflow efficiencies to facilitate the scientific programme. The role extends to multi-locations that focus on Unilever Home Care and Beauty and Personal Care Randamp;D activities. The Admin Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the team is organised and that daily tasks are completed efficiently. Not only supporting a wide range of duties, but willing to take on extra administrative tasks as and when required by colleagues.
We are seeking a motivated person to support with administration duties associated with running and maintaining a laboratory space. As an ideal candidate, you''ll have a strong administration background to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Your ultimate responsibility is to support the Operational Excellence Team to increase our operational efficiency in the Randamp;D facilities in both Port Sunlight and Liverpool.
Objectives of this Role
- Providing administrative support to the Operational Excellence Team which includes raising orders in the internal system (Coupa)
- Ensuring orders and deliveries are tracked and the information is well maintained and up to date.
- Keep appropriate, accurate and up to date records.
- Liaising with third party suppliers (e.g. requesting quotes, chasing delivery dates/times, checking items with the warehouse)
- Updating and maintaining a list of core consumables as well as checking stock suitability
- Reviewing stock items and highlighting cost saving opportunities.
- Responding to questions and requests for information.
- On an occasional basis supporting the team in the laboratory environment e.g. filling dispensers. No laboratory experience is required.
- Labelling and filling orders.
- Other admin support duties as required.
