As an Actuarial Assistant With XPS You WillAttend client meetings and contribute to presenting actuarial findings and engaging with clients on key issuesReview actuarial calculations across valuation work, accounting disclosures, individual benefits, PPF levy, bulk transfers, incentive exercises and de-risking projectsInterpret results to advise on contribution rates, levy reduction and liability reduction exercisesDraft reports, emails and presentations to deliver actuarial results and advicePrepare member communications (e.g. Summary Funding Statements, responses to queries)Manage client work allocation and deadlines, collaborating with the Scheme ActuaryMaintain knowledge of TASs, Codes of Practice, scheme documentation and regulatory frameworkDevelop internal standard processes and identify efficienciesEngage in personal development and training; participate in internal technical trainingYour profile
Essential Criteria
Nearly or nearly qualified actuary with experience in the pensions industryUnderstanding of UK pensions schemes and UK pensions legislationExcellent planning skills, with ability to prioritise and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients and junior staffSolid IT skills with working knowledge of MS Office, especially ExcelWhat We Offer
