The RoleAs an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, engaging, and enjoyable environment for residents through a variety of meaningful activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering a varied programme of activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
• Encouraging participation and social interaction among residents
• Organising group activities such as arts & crafts, music, games, and gentle exercise
• Coordinating seasonal events, celebrations, and themed days
• Supporting one-to-one activities for residents who prefer quieter engagement
• Making use of the home’s gardens and communal spaces for activities
• Building positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
• Promoting wellbeing, independence, and quality of life
• Previous experience in an activities role or care setting (desirable)
• A creative, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for working with older people
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt activities for residents living with dementia
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
• Friendly, positive, and engaging personality
• Competitive hourly rate £12.71 Per Hour
• Part-time hours (10:30am – 4:30pm)
