Penguin Recruitment is working on behalf of one of the UK''s leading acoustic consultancy and sound testing organisations to find a talented Acoustic Testing Engineer. This is a great opportunity to break into a growing and dynamic field. Prior experience isn''t required, as full, comprehensive training will be provided.

This role is home-based, involving fieldwork across London and the Home Counties. It offers flexibility, independence, and the chance to make an impact while working on real-world projects.

As an Acoustic Testing Engineer, your main duties will include:

• Carrying out UKAS Accredited Sound Insulation Testing.
• Undertaking Environmental Noise Measurements and Data Analysis.
• Performing Occupational Noise Assessments.
• Safeguarding and managing testing equipment from a home base.
• Regular travel to sites across London and the Home Counties, with occasional trips to other locations.

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• A degree in acoustics, physics, maths, music technology, or a related subject (Essential).
• A full, clean UK driving licence (Essential).
• Excellent time management and a reliable, punctual work ethic.
• Strong communication skills alongside exceptional customer service abilities.
• Self-motivation and the confidence to manage your workload independently.
• Proficiency with IT systems and a professional approach to tasks and interactions.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Visiting various sites to conduct acoustic testing activities.
• Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring clear communication with clients.
• Analysing data gathered during testing and creating detailed reports.
• Scheduling tasks effectively and adhering to deadlines.
• On occasion, conducting testing during evenings or weekends to meet project goals.
