Accounts and Tax Manager

to support senior advisers and manage a portfolio of rural business clients.In this role, you’ll take ownership of accounts and tax compliance for a range of clients—delivering, reviewing, and signing off high-quality work. You’ll be a trusted adviser, helping clients navigate their business challenges while working collaboratively with internal specialists across tax, audit, and advisory services.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships and thrives in a practice environment where their contribution directly supports business growth.Key Responsibilities of the Accounts and Tax Manager:Manage a portfolio of rural business clients, ensuring timely delivery of accounts and tax returns.Review and sign off accounts and tax work prepared by the team.Support senior advisers in delivering advisory and compliance services.Identify opportunities to add value and support client growth.Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide a full-service offering.Mentor and guide junior team members.Contribute to the development of systems and processes within the team.The Successful Accounts and Tax Manager:Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent).Strong experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.Confident in managing client relationships and delivering technical work to a high standard.Skilled in reviewing complex accounts and tax files.Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-focused approach.Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.If you’re looking to develop your career within a forward-thinking accountancy practice that values strong client relationships and technical excellence, we’d love to hear from you.If you’re passionate about this position or are keen to hear more, please click on “apply” as soon as possible.You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.Due to the high volume of applications, it is not always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants.
