Interim Accounts Supervisor (3-6 Month Contract)Location: Newbury, Berkshire (Office-based, 5 days per week)Contract: Interim, 3-6 monthsStart: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join our finance team on an interim basis. This hands-on role will support the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting across accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and general ledger activities.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable and Credit ControlManage credit control and chase overdue paymentsAllocate customer payments and resolve discrepanciesPrepare customer statementsAccounts PayableProcess supplier invoices accurately and on timeReconcile supplier statements and resolve queriesPrepare and process BACS payment runsSet up and maintain supplier accountsBanking and ReconciliationsPerform bank reconciliationsReconcile control accountsMaintain petty cash records and journalsMonth-End and ReportingSupport month-end close processesPrepare and post journals, including prepayments, payroll journals, and general ledger adjustmentsAssist with management accounts and reportingTax and CompliancePrepare and submit VAT returnsManage postponed VAT reporting and fuel scale charge adjustmentsReview HMRC deferment statementsProcess PAYE and NIC paymentsFinancial RecordsMaintain fixed asset and vehicle schedulesSupport management and group reporting requirementsAssist with ad hoc finance projectsAbout YouPrevious experience in an ..... full job details .....
