Accounts Senior

My client is looking for an organised and conscientious Accounts Senior to join their fabulous team in Tarporley, Cheshire.

The Role

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Maintaining accurate working papers and client records.
• Processing bookkeeping and completing bank, VAT and control account reconciliations.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Supporting clients with accounting queries and digital record keeping.
• Mentoring junior team members and helping manage workflow and deadlines.

About You

• AAT qualified as a minimum, ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for small and medium-sized businesses.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation.
• Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, VAT and basic corporation tax compliance would be beneficial.
