Role: Accounts SeniorLocation: Newport, GwentSalary: £40,000 - £50,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hoursOur client is a leading firm of Chartered Accountants; the Newport office is recruiting an accounts senior to join its growing audit team. Through their network they harness global intelligence and combine this with local presence and knowledge to share technical and commercial insight. Overview The Accounts Senior will be a key member of the Business Advisory Department. They will be the first point of contact for the client and will be responsible for managing the completion of their accounts assignments. They will also be responsible for keeping management up to date on the status of their work.Job descriptionAs an Accounts Senior, your typical daily duties will include;Maintain and develop technical ability by attending webinars and keeping abreast of technical development;Preparation and completion of Limited company accountsAbility to use Xero, and other accountancy software.Ability to reconcile all control accountsSupporting junior colleagues with queries;Preparation of management accounts;Dealing with Ad hoc queries raised by clientsBeing the first point of contact for the client whilst working on their accounts;Keep the manager informed of any issues that arise with the client;Raise any potential time overruns with the manager as they are identified;Be responsible for clearing review points and addressing any follow up queries until the date the accounts are ..... full job details .....
