Hays are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a highly respected business based in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive finance team, develop your existing skills and gain exposure within a reputable organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing customer accounts and maintaining accurate records
• Raising sales invoices and credit notes
• Allocating incoming payments
• Chasing outstanding debt and resolving payment queries
• Reconciling customer accounts
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers

About You:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger or Credit Control role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• French language skills would be highly advantageous, although not essential
