Description
As the Accounts Payable Assistant, your role responsibilities will include:
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate recording in the accounting system.
- Reconcile supplier statements to maintain accurate records.
- Handle payment runs, ensuring timely and correct payments to suppliers.
- Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Maintain and update accounts payable files and documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support the accounting & finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar role within the retail industry.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication skills for handling supplier and internal queries.
